Caister Academy

We worked with Caister Academy in Great Yarmouth to demolish a old timber link building in the centre of the school courtyard with very difficult access. It was important that the work was done to schedule during the school holidays, so Caister Academy could open as normal with no disruption when the pupils returned.

Due to the difficult location of the timber link building, we had to first form bases and the new modular link was craned in over the school with a 300 tonne crane. The work was completed within a tight programme during the school holidays, and the project finished on time and on budget, resulting in a very happy client.

With funds being very tight at the school, whilst we had the plant on site, we also carried out some additional work for the Academy as a charitable gesture, much to the delight of the school Facilities Manager.
